derek bobo: philosophy

People make things way too hard.

Most of the problems we think we have are artificial. It's so easy to get caught up in the moment and think that whatever we are going through is the end of the world. The truth is most things aren't nearly as detrimental as we like to think. Don't let fear and indecision cripple you and keep you from living the life you dream of.

"Nature does not hurry, yet everything is accomplished." - Lao Tzu

Too often we get caught up in details that don't matter. Too often we let the wrong things clutter our lives. Americans are especially bad at chasing this illusion of more, more, more. I believe a new vision for the American Dream is on order.

Join me in the search for balance and simplicity that I believe leads to a better, more rewarding, life.
